kuch chupe huye jazbaaton ki chaav mein jindagi bitaane chale hain,
dard ke darakhton ke saaye mein ham pale hain,
na jaane aur kitne zakhm likhe hain in lakiron mein,
yaad bhi nahi aata ki kitni baar gir kar sambhale hain...
ye raatein kaali, faili huyi hain raahon mein,
dhundh se lipati huyi, darr se simati huyi,
wo chali jaa rahi hai jindagi meri,
door dooor tak nahi dikhayi deta koi nigahon mein...
yun to saath koi kabhi nahi tha phir bhi mazma laga rehta tha,
koi shayad mujhse na kahe kuch bhi, par kuch kehta rehta tha!
chodd aaye hain un mehfilo ki gooonj ko kahi raah mein,
sunayi deti hain to sirf khudki hichkiyaan apni hi aaah mein...!!

Having grown up in the shadows of trees of pain,
